We are looking for a skilled and experienced Construction Manager to join our team in Kelowna, BC. In this role, you will take charge of planning, directing, and overseeing residential and commercial renovation and construction projects from conception to completion. This is a permanent, full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to lead impactful projects and grow with our team.

As a Construction Manager (NOC: 70010), your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate residential and commercial renovation and construction projects from initial conception through completion according to schedules, architectural drawings, and budget specifications.
  • Plan and establish project master schedules, milestones, and workflow sequences, and monitor on-site progress against established critical path baselines and quality benchmarks.
  • Prepare and oversee project budget estimates, track material and labor costs, manage cash flow projections, and implement cost-control measures to prevent budget overruns.
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate the procurement of building materials, specialized tools, and heavy machinery, ensuring timely delivery and optimal site storage.
  • Select, negotiate contracts with, and oversee the performance of trade subcontractors (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, painters, drywallers) to ensure workmanship meets architectural specifications and building codes.
  • Direct the hiring, scheduling, supervision, and performance evaluation of on-site supervisory staff, tradespersons, and apprentices.
  • Review and interpret architectural blueprints, structural engineering designs, and specifications, and consult with architects, engineers, and clients on design modifications and technical feasibility.

Benefits

Following the successful completion of a 3-month probation period, you will be eligible for the following benefits in accordance with the British Columbia Employment Standards Act and company policy:

  • Vacation: Two (2) weeks of paid vacation per year (equivalent to 4% of gross annual earnings). After five consecutive years of employment, this entitlement increases to three (3) weeks (6%).
  • Paid Sick Leave: Five (5) days of paid sick leave and up to three (3) days of unpaid job-protected leave per calendar year (after 90 days of employment).
  • Statutory Holidays: Pay for all ten (10) statutory holidays in British Columbia (including Family Day, BC Day, and Canada Day), subject to eligibility requirements under the Employment Standards Act.
  • Extended Health & Dental: Eligibility to enroll in our group extended health and dental insurance plan after the probation period.
